WELLNESS EXAMS

  • Wellness exams are a vital component of “preventive medicine”. The goal of preventive medicine is to find and treat diseases BEFORE they become serious. The old adage, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” holds true for our pets as well.
Many advances in veterinary medicine have enabled many diseases which may have greatly shortened your pet’s lifespan in the past to be managed (if detected early) so that your pet can live a longer, happier life.

PET TRAVEL SERVICES

  • Since the world is a global village and our pets are close family members whom we can’t risk to leave behind when we are travelling, Kiram Veterinary Surgery has all the knowledge and professional connections to process the required travel documents, blood work and pet clearing within a short period of time. We process documents including health certificates, import permits, export permits and help you get your pet’s Rabies antibody titres done without struggle. If you are considering a journey with your pet or leaving Uganda do not hesitate to contact our team.

MICRO-CHIPPING

  • We insert an ISO- Compliant microtransponder which is internationally accepted and read by standard microchip readers.Identification method for cats and dogs. It is a quick and an efficient way of reuniting owners with their lost pets, even across international frontiers. A microchip is a small tube about the size of a grain of rice that contains a unique code (identification number) that is registered on a microchip database and should also be noted down on your pet's vaccination record. The chip is made of an inert material which means it has no power source and wont be rejected by your pet's body.

They treat pets like family - nothing more to say. 100% professional and trustworthy for all our 7 pets (2 dogs and 5 cats) and even more rescue pets for treatment or a castration. Highly recommended 👌 👍

Dr. Michael has taken very good care of four of our dogs over the past few years. He is competent, compassionate, totally reliable, and widely known and respected. Dr. Michael and his team did an excellent and efficient job in managing all the complex processes for the transport of our two dogs from Uganda to Mauritius on November 11-12, 2022. He personally was engaged in every detail from pre-transport testing, pre-inspection and final travel day. He sent us photos along the process (we preceded the dogs to Mauritius by a few days) which comforted us during, what to me, was a stressful time. The dogs arrived safe and sound! 😃 B. Copeland
